LAKEWOOD - Lakewood's Yesterday's worker Tammy Magnuson has been issued a special-use permit by the Lakewood Village Enter, but most follow stipulations.
The restaurant and bar is located at the corner of Chautauqua Avenue and Acme Street in the village. Ms. Magnuson reopened the establishment at the beginning of the year, with 45 days to suit for a village special-use permit. On Monday, the Lakewood Village Scantling held a public hearing into issuing the permit.
During the public hearing, three people who have kinsmen or live near the bar and gill spoke to the board about the loud caterwauling that once came from the bar when it was previously operated by Daryl Ferraro. Jane Gesing, Lakewood staying, said she doesn't mind the fact Ms. Magnuson wants to work a bar and restaurant at 103 Chautauqua Ave., but the noise needs to be controlled at Cimmerian dark. She even suggested maybe the establishment only being open until midnight.
Three people spoke in favor of the occupation reopening. Laura Ferrero, an employee of the bar, said it is a friendly, kith and kin atmosphere and only a couple times have the police been called to handle situations in the lifetime. Jim Carney said he wants to see the business be open to avoid another empty structure along Chautauqua Avenue.
