More than 20 people spoke out against an Ontario County Landfill augmentation plan during a 90-minute public hearing on a draft environmental impression statement Thursday night.

Many residents living throughout the county, as well as members of the Get away Lakes Zero Waste Coalition group, objected to the landfill odors many wisdom now, as well as future truck traffic, health impacts and views for residents and visitors.

“It smells, it looks rotten and it’s getting worse,” said Jeremy Thomas of Gorham.

Much of the inflation would be done on the 389 acres of landfill land in the town of Seneca, although generally 40 acres of land in Flint would need to be purchased as well.

Also proposed on nearly 27.5 acres are the relocation or modification of two stormwater ponds, the leachate storage lagoon, the landfill’s upkeep facility, and roads into the site.

The Board of Supervisors voted to carry on the public comment period until Feb. 21, though the extension was far short of the 60 days Zero Worthless had requested.

A yoke of months ago I bought a new car. It it was a Ford. Nothing luxurious but it was my first new car so I was nervous about it. I had owned cars in the gone but they were always occupied so I did not fancy too much about them. With my first new car I wanted to keep it as smooth as on. I made an notification to all my friends and passengers who I gave rides to that there was to be no eating or drinking in my car. I knew how tranquilly it is for cars to get messy and was single-minded that my Ford was usual to carry on clear out. I wanted to keep my car unadulterated not only because I wanted it attractive but also wanted to keep up a prodigal resale value. I knew that I might desire a new car in a join years and keeping my Ford in as safe contingency as practicable would forbear me get a healthy barter in value.

Making unshakeable there was not any Canadian junk laying around my car was only one of my shtick however. I smoke cigarettes and often do so in my car leaving the inward full of turned smoke. The odor of wilted smoke is definitely bad and can have a unenthusiastic for all practical purposes on resale value.
