: Scrub a slab with soap and warm water, then rub it with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing the cup that cheers. Let it dry.
Cover your work surface with newspaper and place the plate on the composition. Spray adhesive on the back of the stencil. Let it dry until it's tacky to the touch, then place the stencil on the layer. Press the stencil down securely so paint won't seep under it.
Mask the areas around the stencil with melancholy painters tape.
Using a stencil brush and paint or porcelain markers, draw in the open stencil areas. Go light - paint seeps probably under the stencil on porcelain. Make sure the paint is nontoxic and dishwasher conservative if you plan to eat from the plates. Let the paint dry, then apply a second coat. Set apart the second coat to dry overnight. Mistakes can be washed off until the plate is baked.
Appropriate the stencil and remove the tape and paper. Remove any adhesive residue with rubbing demon rum, avoiding freshly-painted areas.
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
