London: The Daventry Community Council, UK Government has issued the following press release:
New bins and caddies are being delivered this week to the first households in contract for for new weekly food waste collections.
The new service, which is being gradually phased in from January 23 until Demonstration, will see every home in Northampton borough and Daventry district able to put their grub waste out for a weekly collection on their regular recycling day.
Each household will inherit a small kitchen caddy and larger outdoor food waste bin a week before the servicing begins in their area.
Bin deliveries are taking place this week to about 17,900 properties in various areas of Daventry District, which will then Rather commence their food waste collections week commencing January 23.
The viands bin can be lined with newspaper or compostable corn starched liners that are on tap in shops. It has a lockable lid that keeps smells in, pests out and prevents spillage.
