For months, citizens and burg leaders have been discussing, brainstorming and moving forward with stricter encode ordinances in an effort to improve curb appeal in Gulfport.

During Tuesday sunset's meeting the Gulfport City Council voted on second reading for three principles enforcement issues: trash can placement, banning indoor furniture outdoors and shortening unorthodox pick-up times.

Indoor Furniture Outdoors

After an extensive chat and debate about the wording of the ordinance, the Council voted 3-2 to dated ordinance 2012-02, which prohibits indoor furniture from being stored outdoors.

Urban district Manager Jim O'Reilly explained that the aim is to keep people from leaving couches in their yard. "Worrying to eliminate indoor furniture from being used outside," O'Reilly said.

During projected discussion one resident said the ordinance is too broad and doesn't itemize how long something needs to be outside to become a nuisance. Another stated this is a "non issue" and "I don't see a incorrigible here.

Frontgate has one for over 0 which is farcical to pass for a trash can and is almost the same look. We bought this trash can two years ago. After about a year and a half some of the strands on the top started to discolor. Other, those were crumbling and the top started to come. It looks fine and worked well, but for the charge I would have liked to get more than 2 years out of it.

About those comments concerning it being incomprehensible to get the trash bags out… we had the same in shtook when we put green and leaf bags in, but it was handily solved by using the high Nautical galley trash bags in lieu of.
