As I made my way back to our main house, I had a thought go through my mind, which I without delay pushed away. “What if my wife, Debra, were to see my studio?” I asked myself before I managed to give someone the brush-off the thought. I knew what the answer would be. Debra would not like it at all! “But that’s not Debra’s while,” I mumbled to myself.

Debra is to organization what I am to creativity. We make a complete team! When we first purchased the studio, I asked her to let that be my personal space -- a region for me to be alone, create and leave in any shape of disarray I chose.

For much of my life as an artist, I didn’t have such a rank. Now, I treasure it. To my knowledge, Debra has not been up there in a while. Well, in fact, I know she hasn’t because if she had, it would look a whole lot weird!
