I good wanna know who at Tufts was sitting around one day and said, “Why don’t we see if we can go bad silk into food sensors?” “Yeah, because when you eat an egg or drink milk, I’m always hoping to see a infinitesimal silk in there. If we can turn it into food sensors, it’s win-win for everyone!”

This is what my son is common to college to study. It is Bio medical Engineering. While I agree a simpler and cheaper way to bring to light if a banana is ripe is to look at it what about a sensor on the cantaloupe you’re about to eat that would aver you if it was contaminated with e-coli. Or a sensor woven into your shirt that would continually check out your vital signs and call for help if you started to have a heart attack.
