A New Year is upon us and January is often a term for renewal and I have a resolution to stay organized!

Stacked papers, old sports gear, piled boxes. What to do? One way is to tackle that space – you know the one, it’s a firm source of stress – is to focus on it and start purging. Then, when you have what’s Nautical port over, you can start planning and tackling big questions: How can I use this space better? What do I call to keep myself on track? What am I willing to spend to make my life easier?

Those are questions we started asking when we became homeowners. When we bought our domicile the laundry room was a disaster. It was bare, ugly (a problem as it’s detectable from most of the house), and with a washer on one wall and the dryer on another, there was room for little else. Our on doesn’t have a basement or a garage so things were put in the shed but then they weren’t on supervision when we needed them. I was determined to make the laundry room a better position and planned for storing items that were too bulky to put anywhere else in the house.
