Explore FIDO2 and passkey authentication hands-on. Register a security key or passkey, then log in with it — all in your browser using the WebAuthn API. This is an educational demo; nothing is stored beyond your session.

1 Register

Register your key with this demo. When the key blinks, press the button / touch area / fingerprint sensor (or tap the NFC area).

After you register, detailed information about your key — model, certifications, protection and capabilities — will appear below.

2 Log in

Authenticate with the key you just registered. Do not proceed before registration succeeds.

About passkeys

        
Any resident/discoverable FIDO credential is a passkey — a password replacement that provides faster, easier and more secure sign-ins. In this demo you can test both physical (roaming) keys and the platform authenticator built into your device.
